Stay Safe & Productive: COVID-19 & Blasting

We’re working in a new era – but thank God we’re still working. Let’s keep working by staying smart and healthy. And, with COVID in our midst, let’s practice safe hygiene!

I just updated this website for surface prep workers. Added is a new and timely feature “Safety Tips in Pandemic Times.” It’s full of useful ideas to keep everyone in our workplace healthy, starting at the back of the shop in the finishing room (or wherever you do your blast prep), whether you own a simple blast cabinet or an automatic finishing system or blast room.

For example, we should be rethinking sticking our hands into blast cabinet gloves that someone else “sweated up” a few minutes before – there’s a simple solution for that!

We should think twice about laws and safe practice with the PPE we wear while preparing surfaces.
